Inspiration for 17th Ave Inlet Plein Air

17th Ave Inlet Plein Air is a scene from my hometown of Pensacola. Pensacola is located in Northwest Florida right on the Gulf of Mexico. Another of my perennial favorite plein air locations is just off 17th Avenue as it curves toward Bayfront Parkway. A little park contains a large gazebo right on the water, which is a perfect place to paint. From there, the inlet carves northwards from the bay into Pensacola’s East Hill District.
