Inspiration for Deere Tractor Study 2

I painted both Deere Tractor Study 1 and Deere Tractor Study 2 as demos for a landscape painting workshop. The tractor belongs to a farm that currently grows soy beans; however, it had previously been a catfish farm! (I’ve always enjoyed fried catfish very much indeed, although my Wife and I are mainly vegetarians now. However, if you placed platter of catfish and hushpuppies in front of me at this very moment…I would devour it with delight and gratitude!) Several small ponds still dot the property today; they provide a pleasant, unexpected touch of variety to the overall landscape.
