Inspiration for World Traveler

When I started World Traveler en plein air, I had no idea this rusting tub had been all over our terrestrial sphere. While I was painting, the marina owner came over to see what was going on. After making the usual remarks about not being able to draw a stick figure, he began telling me the history of the boat. And although I can’t remember all the names and places specifically, I do remember being totally shocked. For a smaller, older vessel, it had, in its heyday, been quite the adventurer, literally circumnavigating the globe!
