Inspiration for Shoreline Park

The City of Gulf Breeze takes great pride in its 155-acre Shoreline Park! The south side encompasses 105 acres along Santa Rosa Sound. Although the south park area is dedicated mainly to recreation, I found a great spot to set up my easel. In the shade of some Live Oak trees, I could look out over the sound extending eastward for miles. Some tasteful artistic editing to remove man-made objects, and the scene has all the beauty of a Caribbean island.

Split into north and south sides by Shoreline Drive, Shoreline Park North is dedicated to athletics. Playing fields for several different sports ring the Gulf Breeze Community Center. Shoreline Park South hosts the most popular boat launch in the area, according the to City’s website. Facilities include picnic tables, a fishing pier, swimming area, and a large gazebo. A nature trail also winds through the park.
