Inspiration for November Morning Clouds Plein Air

I painted November Morning Clouds Plein Air as a demo for a workshop I had the privilege of teaching. The workshop was in Milton, FL. The group was generously hosted by the Matthews family, who have a substantial amount of land there with several small artificial ponds, as they operated a catfish farm before Mr. Matthew’s retirement several years ago. This same elderly gentleman is extremely kind and gracious, and although in his eighties, is still very active, driving around his extensive property in his 4×4 pickup, tending to odd jobs and repairs on a weekly basis! The morning sunlight on this partly cloudy day in late Autumn was simply breathtaking…I was delighted to be able to demo with such beauty on display: makes my job joyous!
