Inspiration for The Filipino
The Wednesday morning portrait study group had the pleasure of a Pacific Islander modeling for us in The Filipino. The intrepid leader of the study group, a very lovely lady, found this young man somewhere around town during the week and asked him to pose. Interestingly, I ran into him a few years later at an IHOP here in Pensacola, and recognized him immediately. (Needless to say, I hadn’t made as much of an impression in his mind—just another painter behind an easel, haha!)
