Inspiration for Charlie’s Ford
Charlie’s Ford represents a whole new genre for me: the classic automobile. I’ve always loved classic cars because of their (generally) more pleasing aesthetic (aerodynamics be darned!) Case in point: the classic Ford pick-up truck. Not that I have anything bad to say about today’s truck models—some of them are very cool. But seriously, let’s face it, none of ’em have the flowing curves and fluid masculinity of this classic beauty! (If you know of any current iterations that could compete, do let me know: I’m always eager to learn!) I’ll have to ask the owner soon to give me the full story of the restoration and the breakdown of features on this model: although I like the look of classic cars, I really don’t know anything about them. Hey, somebody’s gotta know about them and somebody’s gotta paint them en plein air, right?
